Senior Robotics Software Engineer

The Opportunity We're looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead the development of a new mobile application and supporting cloud platform. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you'll work across mobile, web and cloud technologies, making key architectural decisions and writing production-quality software that interfaces with connected robotic systems and large volumes of data. This is a hands-on Senior Robotics Software Engineer position with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape the technical direction of the platform as the team grows. What You'll Be Doing Lead the architecture, development and deployment of a greenfield mobile application and supporting cloud platform. Build scalable REST APIs, backend services, databases and distributed systems, alongside high-performance mobile and web interfaces. Establish best practices across software architecture, testing, CI/CD and observability, while providing technical leadership to the wider engineering team. What We're Looking For Extensive software engineering experience, with strong React experience and a track record of building production software. Strong experience building production mobile applications and cloud-native platforms, ideally using GCP, alongside RESTful APIs and distributed systems. Strong software architecture, database and distributed systems experience, with SQL/NoSQL, event-driven architectures, CI/CD and automated testing. We're looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer who can take ownership of complex software problems, make sound architectural decisions and build reliable systems from the ground up. Nice to Have Experience integrating software with robotics, hardware, sensors, IoT or edge devices. Experience with computer vision, machine learning or image processing.
