KIRKSVILLE R-III SCHOOL DISTRICT POSITION TITLE: Food Service Driver/Maintenance Worker
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Wage and work calendar to be established by the Board of Education.
REPORTS TO: Food Service Director, Maintenance Director
JOB GOAL: To facilitate the smooth operation of the central kitchen and five campus cafeterias and assist in proper maintenance of school grounds and building maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

- Ability to understand and implement operating instructions
- Valid Missouri Driver's License
- Maintenance experience
- Inventory experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver food and supplies to all buildings
- Keeps food service equipments running and perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed
- Discuss ordering parts for repairs with Head of Maintenance and/or Director of Food Service
- Monthly pickup of Buddy Packs at the Adair Food Pantry
- Receive and organize monthly commodity deliveries (with help from co-workers)
- Put away deliveries as necessary
- Perform inventory of food and supplies monthly
- Mulch and trim trees on campus
- Assist in summer tile waxing
- Keep campus grounds clean (trash, brush, etc.)
- Pick up trash campus wide following delivery shift
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Duties performed typically in district settings to include the cafeteria, gym, recreational areas and other assigned areas.
- Physical demands can include but are not limited to: Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and other physical activities are required.
- Mental demands can include but are not limited to: Following directions, problem solving, etc.
