Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing comprehensive small animal veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This long-established clinic delivers high-quality medicine across all life stages, combining advanced clinical care with a strong focus on client relationships and compassionate service.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with Sundays closed. The role offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with weekend coverage required as part of standard opening hours. There are no after-hours requirements.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will diagnose and treat diseases and injuries, prescribe medications, perform surgeries, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Responsibilities include delivering preventative care, urgent care, surgical and dental procedures, and educating clients on treatment options, nutrition, and overall pet health. The role also involves working collaboratively with the veterinary team, maintaining high clinical standards, and contributing to a culture of continuous learning. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This is a long-standing hospital with over 90 years of service, recognized for building generational client relationships and delivering high-quality veterinary care. The practice is AAHA accredited and offers a wide range of services including wellness exams, diagnostics, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, spays and neuters, urgent care, nutrition counseling, end-of-life care, sick visits, echocardiograms, orthopedic surgery, and abdominal ultrasounds, along with an on-site pharmacy. The hospital emphasizes medical excellence, modern diagnostic capabilities, and a compassionate, client-focused approach within a supportive team culture.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and nurturing working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
