Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment at Wesley West FSED. The role involves providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced, low to moderate acuity environment with a focus on adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care by assessing, planning, and implementing patient treatment.
• Administer medications, IV starts, sedations, and perform pediatrics procedures efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, including scanning patient information and medications per policy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit protocols, policies, and equipment procedures, including Meditech EMR documentation.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid KS RN license and current, active certification.
• Possess a minimum of 1-year recent ED RN experience in a 52-bed or larger ER.
• Be proficient in IV placement, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care.
• Have current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH CPI certifications.
• Demonstrate adaptability to a high-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Meditech and working in a low-to-moderate acuity emergency setting is preferred.
