As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and armed guard card. You will provide exceptional service and communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or residents while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; maintain professional communication with site personnel and responding public service agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
