Inside Sales Associate

Position Overview An established global technology and manufacturing leader is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Inside Sales & Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Hauppauge, NY.

Serving as the operational backbone for the US sales group, you will support six outside sales representatives, handle high-value customer orders, manage inventory backlogs, and coordinate directly with overseas headquarters. This opportunity offers a comprehensive transition period, allowing you to train directly alongside a retiring senior team member to ensure long-term success.

salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Order & Backlog Management: Receive, process, and track high-volume and long-term blanket demand orders (e.g., 1,000+ unit orders split across monthly deliveries). Regularly review backlog reports to determine monthly shipping volume.
• Customer & Account Support: Act as the primary point of contact for existing accounts regarding PO changes, shipment tracking, delivery lead times, and scheduling adjustments.
• Sales Team Support: Partner with 6 outside sales representatives, handling administrative and back-end tasks, following up on customer inquiries, and helping qualify web leads.
• Vendor & Logistics Coordination: Maintain daily communication with key suppliers and our global headquarters in Germany regarding stock levels, inventory flow, and international shipping timelines.
• System Maintenance: Maintain accurate order history, inventory counts, and customer account details in our ERP system and project tracking tools.
