Media Asset Management Technician IIOffice of Cuba Broadcasting - Doral, FL 33166DescriptionPrimary responsibilities:Assist in organizing and maintaining broadcast media asset archives, including video, audio, photographs, and digital files.Apply rigorous standardized metadata schemes to all raw data and finished productSupport tracking real time capacity consumption across SAN and NASOversees scheduled incoming feeds, fiber transmissions and digital contributions to assure reliable capture.Monitor automated file watchers for correct file transferPerform spot QCs on ingest filesAssist in Managing Proxy file generationCatalog and enter media asset information into archive and media management systems.Retrieve archived materials in response to requests from production, editorial, and communications staff.Assist with digitization, file conversion, and preservation of legacy media formats.Verify the accuracy of metadata and archive records to support efficient content retrieval.Perform routine quality checks on archived content and storage systems.Label, sort, and store physical and digital media according to established procedures.Maintain archive inventories and assist with records management activities.Support the transfer, backup, and storage of media assets.Logs and conducts data entry and other functions connected with VOA's digital asset management systemResearches, gathers, and logs video and audio feedsWorks with supervisor to be familiar with the latest/new technologyOperates computersCompletes tasks accurately and independently prior to deadline, in accordance with production prioritiesFunctions as effective member of a teamOther related duties as assignedAbout the AgencyThe United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is an exciting, multi-media, multi-cultural, global media agency that carries out all United States civilian international broadcasting.
