PRN / Part-Time | Saturdays approximately 8:30 AM–1:30 PM

Position Summary

Recover Now is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable PRN Licensed Therapist to provide weekend clinical coverage for our Substance Use Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in McCalla, Alabama.

This position is ideal for a licensed clinician interested in supplemental weekend hours while working with adults seeking recovery from substance use disorders. The PRN therapist will facilitate groups and complete required clinical documentation and collaborate with the treatment team to support continuity of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate substance use disorder and recoveryfocused therapeutic groups as needed.
• Complete progress notes and other required clinical documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
• Review and address patient treatment goals and progress.
• Assist with treatment planning, discharge planning, relapseprevention planning, and continuity of care.
• Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient clinical status, including safety concerns.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
• Follow HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, organizational policies, payer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Communicate significant clinical concerns to appropriate members of the treatment team.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, peersupport, and operational staff.
• Provide clinical coverage when regular clinical staff are unavailable.
• Participate in other clinical activities as needed to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

Required:
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current Alabama professional license in good standing, such as ALC, LPC, LMSW, LICSW/LCSW, LMFT, or another independently licensed behavioral health professional whose scope of practice permits the services provided.
• Ability to provide clinical services independently within the scope of the clinician’s Alabama license.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with adults experiencing substance use disorders and cooccurring behavioral health concerns.
• Dependable and able to provide scheduled weekend coverage.
Preferred:
• Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment.
• Experience working in PHP, IOP, residential, inpatient, or other behavioral health settings.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, CBT, family systems, and recoveryoriented treatment.
• Familiarity with thirdparty payer documentation requirements.
• Experience with electronic health records, including Kipu or similar behavioral health systems.
Schedule

This is a PRN weekend position, primarily providing Saturday coverage. Typical Saturday hours are approximately 8:30 AM–1:30 PM. Additional PRN coverage opportunities may occasionally be available based on program needs, staff vacations, census, and scheduling.

Candidates should be comfortable addressing common recovery issues including cravings, relapse triggers, family conflict, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, coping skills, motivation for change, sober support development, and discharge planning.
