We operate a sophisticated, private family office dedicated to the seamless protection and operational support of a prominent Southern California household. Our team is defined by a "low profile, high capability" philosophy. We are currently seeking a Residential Security Agent to join a dedicated in-house unit. Unlike traditional contract security roles, this is a career placement within a private estate. We prioritize long-term stability, professional development, and a culture of mutual respect. The Role As a member of this internal team, you will be responsible for the sanctity of the family’s private residence and the continuity of their daily lives. You will serve as the first line of defense and the primary facilitator of a secure environment. This is an opportunity to move away from the volatility of agency work and into a structured, well-resourced environment where your contributions are recognized at the highest level of the organization. Primary Responsibilities Comprehensive Surveillance: Maintain a vigilant, 24/7 security posture over the estate, utilizing advanced technical systems and physical presence. Proactive Mitigation: Identify, assess, and neutralize potential vulnerabilities before they manifest as threats, maintaining a focus on "left of bang" indicators. Operational Discretion: Execute all duties with the highest degree of confidentiality, ensuring the family’s private life remains entirely shielded from public view. Incident Response: Serve as the primary responder to medical emergencies, security breaches, or technical alarms with calm, decisive action. Team Integration: Work in lockstep with a specialized unit, participating in rigorous training cycles to ensure the team remains at the vanguard of the industry. Principal Relations: Build a foundation of trust through professional conduct, punctuality, and a deep understanding of the unique lifestyle requirements of the family. Minimum Qualifications: Experience, Skills, and Certifications 3-5 years of relevant security experience and/or military/law enforcement experience Experience working with and safeguarding confidential information Demonstrated track record of success working in a very fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to respond and handle emergency situations Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps Must have a BSIS guard card Must have a BSIS firearms permit or be able to obtain one within 6 months of employment Must have CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or obtain within a reasonable period Able and willing to follow the dress and grooming policy Experience working as a team player Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license with a safe driving record Excellent communicator with the ability to professionally and appropriately converse with all individuals encountered Drug free; must pass a drug screening and submit to periodic screenings throughout employment Must pass an extensive background check and an in-house training assessment; specific training will be provided upon hire Physical Demands and Requirements The physical demands and requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: Able to pass the company’s physical ability test, with or without reasonable accommodation, prior to the scheduled start date, and periodically as an employee This test is job-related and confirms physical requirements that are a business necessity for this position Able to work irregular and/or extended hours Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands/manual dexterity, reach, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Able to speak, hear, taste, and smell Able to frequently climb or balance Able to occasionally run and sprint Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds Desired Qualifications: Experience, Skills, and Certifications 5+ years of relevant security experience and/or military/law enforcement experience College graduate Formal executive protection training, provided by a government entity or a reputable private security training company Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, and emergency response Advanced medical training (e.g., NREMT-B or NREMT-P certified) Salary & Benefits Discretionary year-end bonus 100% employee premium paid health/vision/dental insurance (including dependents) PTO and paid sick leave 401(k) with employer match Holiday pay Life insurance and long-term disability Employment is contingent upon a rigorous background investigation and remains "at-will."
