Mendota, IL
18.00 - 40.00/hr (based on experience)
Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM but most be open to some weekends and 10 to 12 hour shifts
Express Employment Professionals is partnered with a leading HVAC company in Mendota, IL and is seeking an HVAC Installer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with HVAC experience or strong mechanical aptitude looking to build a long-term career with a reputable company.
Job Summary
The HVAC Installer will be responsible for installing, replacing, and assisting with the maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. Candidates should be safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working with hand and power tools.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and installation specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork, piping, and related HVAC components
- Assist with wiring, controls, and system connections
- Test and inspect newly installed equipment to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members
- Assist with preventative maintenance and service work as needed
- Previous HVAC installation experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Basic electrical and wiring knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
