Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN licensure for the state of Illinois
• Experience providing nursing services in a school or pediatric setting
• Skilled in individualized care and creating health plans for students with special needs
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, educators, parents, and healthcare providers
• Special Education Teacher certification (preferred, not required)
• Previous work as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) is an asset, though prior experience at this location is not required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care, medication administration, and emergency response to students during school hours (8:00 am–3:30 pm)
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students receiving special education services
• Provide health assessments, screenings, and referrals in accordance with district protocols
• Educate staff and families on relevant health issues and promote wellness initiatives
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with special education teams to support the academic and health needs of students
