Principal Gen AI Transformation Lead

Salary: $192,600 - 289,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline, plus 8+ years of software engineering or comparable experience; alternatively, a masters degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
• We require 4+ years of experience programming in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• We are looking for principal-level technical leadership, cross-functional influence, architecture ownership, and impact at organization scale.
• We need deep expertise in generative AI, AI/ML fundamentals, LLM-based systems, model and tool selection, evaluation, optimization, and practical use in engineering settings.
• We require hands-on experience building, deploying, or integrating GenAI solutions such as agentic workflows, RAG or context-aware systems, developer tools, automation frameworks, or AI-enabled engineering platforms.
• We need proven experience leading large technical transformations, influencing without formal authority, shaping architecture, and driving adoption in complex engineering organizations.
• We require a strong understanding of the SDLC, including requirements, design, implementation, code review, testing, CI/CD, release readiness, security workflows, and productivity measurement.
• We need a solid foundation in secure software development, responsible AI use, data protection, governance, observability, and risk management for enterprise AI systems.
• We prefer experience in systems software, embedded software, platform software, or performance-sensitive environments, with proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Go.
• We value excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, and executive-facing storytelling skills, including the ability to translate technical depth into clear strategy and measurable impact.
• Preferred: experience building AI agents, multi-agent workflows, MCP services, tool-calling systems, evaluation harnesses, prompt or skill libraries, or governed AI automation platforms.
• Preferred: experience with AI-enabled developer productivity use cases such as code generation, code review, defect triage, log analysis, test generation, documentation, release validation, or security analysis.
• Preferred: familiarity with embedded platforms, Linux, Android, RTOS, device drivers, BSP, SoC bring-up, hardware/software interfaces, or protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, or PCIe.
• Preferred: experience with camera, multimedia, sensors, power/performance, kernel, middleware, platform software, or AI deployment on edge or resource-constrained systems.
• Preferred: 5+ years of hands-on AI/ML, GenAI, LLM application development, AI platform, or AI-enabled engineering workflow experience.

• We define and execute the GenAI transformation roadmap for engineering productivity across CPSG, including priorities, adoption plans, and measurable outcomes.
• We lead AI-native and agentic SDLC initiatives spanning requirements, code understanding, code generation, code review, debugging, test automation, release readiness, and documentation.
• We partner with GenAI platform and engineering teams to develop reusable agents, skills, tools, plugins, MCP integrations, and governed workflow patterns.
• We identify high-value embedded and software workflows, convert them into reusable capabilities, and scale adoption across teams to reduce duplication and increase leverage.
• We establish secure and responsible AI practices covering governance, permissions, auditability, model and tool selection, data handling, context management, and cost optimization.
• We define metrics and dashboards to monitor AI adoption, productivity gains, workflow efficiency, quality improvements, security compliance, and business impact.
• We act as a technical thought leader, mentor, and executive advisor, strengthening AI fluency and clearly communicating strategy, progress, risks, and impact.
