Job Summary

A professional legal services firm in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney for a direct hire opportunity focused on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. This role is ideal for an attorney with 1-2 years of legal experience who enjoys advising individuals and families, managing meaningful client matters, and providing practical legal guidance during important life and financial planning decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise clients on estate planning strategies based on family, financial, succession planning, and personal objectives.
- Draft, review, and update Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, and related estate planning documents.
- Manage estate administration and probate matters from initial consultation through completion.
- Counsel Executors, Personal Representatives, Trustees, and beneficiaries regarding legal duties, deadlines, documentation, and rights.
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, accountants, tax advisors, and other professionals.
- Identify and help resolve estate administration issues involving asset collection, valuation, creditor claims, liabilities, distributions, releases, and related correspondence.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Advise clients on estate planning and estate administration matters.
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.
- Manage probate and estate administration files from intake through resolution.
- Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, advisors, and outside institutions throughout the matter lifecycle.

- 1-2 years of legal experience required.
- Experience or strong interest in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, Trusts, and related legal matters.
- Licensed attorney in good standing, with ability to practice law in Florida.
- Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines, documentation, client files, and multiple active matters.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to ethical legal practice.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience drafting estate planning documents or assisting with probate and trust administration matters.
- Familiarity with Florida probate procedures, fiduciary responsibilities, estate deadlines, and related court filings.
- Experience working directly with individuals, families, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, or tax professionals.
- Interest in building a long-term practice in Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
