Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:

• Locums coverage beginning in October for most weekends, subject to availability of other local OBGYNs
• Expected 9-10 call days per month, starting at noon on Friday until 7am Monday
• Current need is for sporadic weekends throughout the year
• 2-4 patient encounters per shift in an 8-bed department
• Must hold an active Texas medical license
• Board certification required; credentialing timeframe approximately 30-45 days
• BLS certification required
• Manage low risk pregnancies and routine deliveries including vaginal and low forceps
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform amniocentesis procedures
• OB Ultrasounds - Level I/Screening (viability) required
• Decision-making for c-sections required
• Handle complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Surgical gynecology including laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures such as tubal ligation, LOA's, and chromotubation
• Operative/major gynecological procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
• Nearest airports are DFW or Love Field (Southwest)

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
