AI Adoption and Change Management Specialist

(Atlanta, Full-time/Hybrid)Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm is seeking an AI Adoption and Change Management Specialist to accelerate the responsible, practical uptake of AI across a large professional services organization. This role focuses on the human and organizational side of AI transformation: turning promising tools and pilots into everyday habits that attorneys, knowledge professionals, and staff actually use and trust.You will design and lead change strategies, build adoption programs, develop internal capability, and partner closely with practice groups and operational leaders. While you will work closely with technical and automation teams, your primary mandate is sustained behavioral and cultural changenot just tool deployment.Key ResponsibilitiesAI Adoption Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute firm-wide and practice-specific AI adoption roadmaps aligned with business priorities and risk posture.Translate AI capabilities into clear value propositions and use cases that resonate with partners, associates, and professional staff.Design multi-phase adoption programs that move users from awareness, experimentation, proficiency, advocacy.Identify barriers to adoption (workflow friction, trust, skill gaps, incentives) and design targeted interventions.Partner with Knowledge Management, IT, Innovation, and practice leadership to embed AI into existing processes and systems rather than creating parallel shadow tools.Change Management & CommunicationsApply structured change management approaches (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent) to AI initiatives of varying scale.Conduct stakeholder analysis, sponsor engagement, and resistance management.Create and execute communication plans that build understanding, address concerns, and celebrate progress.Equip leaders and champions with the talking points, coaching tools, and reinforcement mechanisms needed to drive change in their teams.Measure adoption health (usage metrics, qualitative feedback, skill progression) and continuously refine the change approach.Capability Building & EnablementDesign and deliver practical, role-based training, office hours, playbooks, and self-service resources.Build and support a network of AI champions / power users across practices and functions.Develop internal guidance on responsible AI use, prompt craft, quality control, and escalation paths.Help shape longer-term AI literacy and talent development strategies for the firm.Governance, Risk & Continuous ImprovementCollaborate on AI governance, risk assessments, and ethical-use frameworks as they relate to adoption and user behavior.Capture lessons learned and turn successful adoption patterns into reusable playbooks and firm standards.Stay current on AI tools and change practices relevant to professional services and legal work; bring forward practical recommendations.Requirements5+ years of experience leading technology or process adoption and organizational change, ideally in professional services, legal, consulting, or other knowledge-intensive environments.Demonstrated success applying structured change management methodologies to technology transformations.Strong understanding of how professionals actually work and what drives (or blocks) tool adoption in high-stakes, high-autonomy environments.Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills-comfortable engaging partners and senior leaders.Experience designing and delivering training or enablement programs for adult professional audiences.Ability to partner effectively with technical teams without needing to be the primary builder of solutions.Strong analytical orientation: ability to define success metrics and use data + qualitative insight to guide interventions.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience with AI, generative AI, or intelligent automation adoption programs.Background in a law firm, legal operations, or legal technology setting.Familiarity with knowledge management, legal research, document workflows, or matter management systems.Experience contributing to AI governance, responsible AI guidelines, or risk frameworks.Change management certification (Prosci or equivalent) or related credentials.Project or program management experience with cross-functional initiatives.Why Join Us At Fisher Phillips, we recognize that exceptional talent is the foundation of our success, enabling us to deliver outstanding service to both our internal and external clients.
