Those without PICC experience can train with us to become PICC certified — full-time commitment required.As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. If you are looking for a change and tired of 12 hours on your feet or rushing from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this would be the perfect opportunity for you.As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.Assist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD'sEligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.SchedulingIn this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Full-time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation. Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.Training and Experience RequirementsIdeal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions.Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience.Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills.Required QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current licenseAmerican Heart BLS CertificationExperience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshootingExperience placing ultrasound-guided IVsAbility to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classificationValid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sitesMust possess a smart phoneMust LOVE vascular access!Preferred QualificationsMinimum of 3 years' experience in acute careExperience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasoundCompensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.Hourly Pay Range$50 - $70 USDWhy Join VTP?
