Remote - Rockland County, NY Based
$125,000 – $175,000 DOE

 

Overview

A fast-growing, established company in the construction services space is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to bring greater visibility, structure, and accountability to a growing sales organization.

The company has strong salespeople and experienced business development leadership already in place. What they need now is someone who can mind the shop —know exactly what's happening across the pipeline, understand who's performing and who needs attention, and give leadership a clear picture of what's coming.

This is less about being the star closer and more about making sure the entire sales organization is performing. You'll dig into pipelines, quotes, bids, activity, and conversion data; identify where opportunities are getting stuck; and make sure reps are following through.

For someone who loves sales but is equally comfortable with numbers, process, and accountability , this is an opportunity to play an important role in a rapidly growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day sales activity and performance across a team of approximately 10–12 sales representatives
• Maintain a clear view of the pipeline, quotes, bids, opportunities, and expected outcomes
• Track individual and team KPIs and identify performance gaps early
• Provide leadership with accurate visibility into what's coming and where attention is needed
• Hold salespeople accountable for activity, follow-up, pipeline management, and execution
• Identify struggling or underperforming reps and ensure they receive the appropriate support
• Improve CRM discipline, reporting, and overall sales-process consistency
• Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities, risks, and bottlenecks
• Work alongside experienced sales leaders who can support coaching and closing when needed
• Partner with the growing BDR team and other internal teams to ensure opportunities move smoothly through the sales process
• Help build the structure and accountability needed to support continued aggressive growth

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable holding salespeople accountable.

This person should have:

• Experience managing or overseeing sales teams, sales operations, or sales performance
• Strong understanding of pipelines, forecasting, KPIs, conversion metrics, and sales activity
• Ability to look at the numbers and quickly understand where performance is strong and where something is going wrong
• Strong CRM and reporting discipline
• Confidence working with experienced salespeople and holding people accountable without needing to be the team's primary closer
• Strong communication and follow-through
• Ability to bring structure to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial sales environment
• Comfortable working independently in a largely remote organization
• Experience in construction, equipment rental/leasing, B2B services, government contracting, or another complex B2B sales environment is a plus, but not required
