Job Title : Senior Occupational Health & Safety Specialist Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Safety Senior Specialist in Marysville, OH. You will apply advanced safety compliance expertise to lead high-complexity plant safety themes, conduct risk assessments, design ergonomic workstations, and champion an accident-free manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead complex plant safety themes and continuous improvement projects utilizing the PDCA cycle. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, machine safeguarding audits, and industrial ergonomic studies. Mentor department safety advocates and partner with plant leadership to foster a self-sustaining safety culture. Interpret and enforce OSHA standards, corporate safety manuals, and industrial hygiene practices. Prepare data analytics reports and present executive safety trend evaluations to plant management. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Ergonomics, or related discipline. 2+ years of manufacturing safety experience; professional certification (CSP, OHST, SMS) preferred. Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, machinery safety standards, and injury prevention strategies. Strong analytical reasoning, root cause analysis, and technical presentation skills. Physical capability to perform production line audits and safety inspections.
