Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Job Description Students will perform an externship at a National Veterinary Associates (NVA) hospital, gaining hands‑on clinical experience while working closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians at Crossroads Animal Hospital. They will gather patient histories, conduct physical examinations, create treatment plans, perform diagnostics, provide dentistry services, observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures, and manage patient care. Students will also practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externship duration ranges from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.
