Job Description Appalachian Vascular and Interventional Radiology (AVIR) is seeking a motivated Interventional Radiologist to join our growing practice serving Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. AVIR is a clinic-based IR group providing comprehensive, minimally invasive care across the Appalachian Highlands. Our physicians practice primarily at Johnson City Medical Center, a 445-bed Level I Trauma Center and a Stroke Center of Excellence, while also supporting Niswonger Children’s Hospital and additional Ballad facilities throughout the region. Our practice model is designed to allow physicians to focus on complex interventions, clinical care, and program growth. A team of five experienced Advanced Practice Providers manage inpatient consultations and performs a wide range of procedures, creating a highly efficient workflow allowing physicians to concentrate on advanced procedures and outpatient clinic care.
