Come join our team.Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a fellowship trained Endocrinologist to join our well-established referral-based outpatient practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Enjoy a practice with a robust patient volume in Thyroid & Diabetes Mellitus who has served the community for 17 years. As an Endocrinologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hormonal imbalance, as well as providing advice and consultation to patients with endocrine disorders. We are the right practice for you!Annual Base Salary range: $250,000 (min.) - $280,000 (max)Endocrinologist Responsibilities:Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances.Advising, ordering, and performing tests and interpreting the results.Discussing diagnoses with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures.Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records.Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions and their loved ones.Conducting research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques.Remaining up to date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology.Endocrinologist Requirements:Medical Degree MD or DOBoard Certified or Eligible in Endocrinology Ability to manage Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes patients including insulin pumps.A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions.Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses.Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills.Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.Position Highlights: An established panel of patientsExperienced support staff100% adult endocrinologySharing call with other physician, providing inpatient consults.Diabetes Education Nutrition Counseling programAbout Mary Washington Healthcare:Mary Washington Healthcare is a non-profit regional system consisting of two hospitals (571 beds), four emergency departments and over 60 healthcare facilities. serving patients and communities across the greater Fredericksburg Region.
