Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This part-time position spans from June 1 to July 16, with a flexible Monday through Thursday schedule from 8 am to 12 pm, allowing you to make an impact while balancing other commitments.

You’ll work with PreK-8 students in a single elementary school setting, providing valuable evaluations and assessments to support their educational growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education (LA DOE) certification as an Educational Diagnostician
• Prior experience assessing and managing caseloads in a PreK-8 educational setting preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all state and district guidelines
• Successful completion of district-required background check and fingerprinting

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive educational assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs and eligibility for special services
• Interpret assessment results and generate clear, thorough reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and recommend appropriate instructional interventions and accommodations
• Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to staff and families
• Uphold all relevant documentation standards and timelines
