A temporary pharmacist role is available in Fulton, MO, supporting a state high-security psychiatric hospital pharmacy. This contract position starts early September and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekend or on-call duties. The pharmacy observes all Missouri state holidays and remains closed on those days.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid Missouri pharmacist license. The pharmacy utilizes Oracle/Cerner for order entry and the Parata ATP2 Packager automation system; no prior experience with these systems is necessary as training will be provided (~3 days before start).

This pharmacy environment involves limited direct patient contact, as the pharmacy is located in a separate building outside the secure psychiatric hospital perimeter.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pharmacist verification of technician-prepared medication bags, including reviewing flags from InspectRx, repackaging, correcting bags, and refilling canisters.
• Use barcode scanning to verify medications filled by the technician.
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff for troubleshooting and support as needed.
• Perform limited order verification; behavioral health experience is not required.
• Collaborate with a pharmacy team including Director of Pharmacy, clinical managers, psychiatric pharmacist residents, and informatics pharmacists.
