Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Number of Beds: 24

Number of Staff: 52

Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 7-10 RNs

Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 7-10 RNs

Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:3

Type of Equipment: Plum 360 IV pump, Medfusion Smart Pump, Drager Vent, Giraffe OmniBeds

Electronic Medical Records: CPN, Meditech

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
• Manage BCPAP, HFNC, and NC for respiratory support.
• Perform PIV insertion and management.
• Care for feeder grower patients.
• Assist in the management of ventilators, UAC/UVC, and PICC lines.
• Attend deliveries and provide immediate care for newborns.

• PICC placement
• UVC/UAC placement
• Intubation
• Lumbar punctures
• EKG
• Eye exams
• Lab draws and arterial blood draws
• IV placement
• Heel sticks

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: NRP, BLS
• Experience: Level III NICU experience is a must.

Additional Information

• Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
• On Call: No mandatory on-call shifts.
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs.
