Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas is recruiting a BC/BE General Surgeon for a position with Northwest Physicians Group.

Employed position

Opportunity includes taking trauma/acute call + building an elective practice

NWTHS is a Level II trauma center

Elective GS practice can potentially include subspecialty interests

Large, unsaturated geographic and population catchment of ~ 450,000 in Texas Panhandle and border states

Support the NWTHS mission of delivering high quality, compassionate care to Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle region

Diagnose, treat, and surgically manage wide range of diseases and conditions

Perform common and full scope of general surgical procedures

BC/BE Surgery required

Completion of an ACGME-accredited surgical residency required

Active, clear Texas license and DEA or ability to obtain

Clean professional background

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
