Associate Veterinarian (62001)

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital is part of the Humane Society of Missouri, with proceeds helping to support their mission.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care for small animal patients. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Full-time is considered 35 hours per week, with no minimum number of hours required.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Additional services include orthopedic and advanced surgery, pain management, underwater treadmill therapy, laser therapy, and chiropractic care. The role can accommodate either a veterinarian who prefers not to perform surgery or one with a surgery-heavy clinical focus. The hospital is equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound, in-house laboratory capabilities, feline-exclusive exam rooms, an electronic records system, an underwater treadmill, and cold laser. The hospital is AAHA accredited and FearFree accredited. Appointments are typically scheduled for 30 minutes, with one hour allocated for sedated appointments. Hospital opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Team
The hospital has a team of 15 DVMs and 41 support staff, providing a fantastic level of support.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
