Recycling Lead

Job Title: Recycling Lead Responsibilities Partner with Maintenance/Recycle Manager on challenges, decisions, adjustments, or changes to ensure all aspects of Bob’s business plan are considered and followed. Thoroughly understand Bob’s Discount Furniture Company and Department policies and procedures. Ensure department training plan encompasses quality, speed, and accuracy. Mentor, guide, coach, and train other Recycling employees in recycling materials, safe cleaning, and material handling practices. Provide updates to managers throughout the day on day‑to‑day activities and progress of associates. Sort materials, operate forklift, and clamp trucks. Delegate tasks and follow up. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Warehouse/mechanical experience. Ability to operate bailers, compressed recyclables, forklift, and clamp truck. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to adapt, organize, and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment. Must be 18 years or older. Physical Demands Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance; able to move throughout all areas of the distribution center; move objects up to 250 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations; stand and walk continuously for job functions. Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90%; Sitting: 5%; Desk or phone work: 5%. Benefits & Compensation Hourly pay: $20.00 – $24.00 based on experience.
