Charge Nurses

Charge Nurse Full Time, working 32 hours per week (Day Shift: 7a - 3p or Evening Shift: 3p - 11p) Part Time, working 16 hours per week (Every other Weekend) Job Summary Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 5-star rated organization, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Charge Nurses to join our team! As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the daily activities of our CNAs. Job Responsibilities Direct the daily functions of CNAs and other nursing personnel, ensuring compliance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines Ensure that all assigned personnel have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift, as required Administer medication and treatments according to the physician's orders Assume responsibility for ordering medications Transcribe, document, and implement physician's orders Collect data to assist in nursing assessments during each shift Give daily shift report to CNAs assigned to the unit prior to the start of the shift Take nursing report on assigned unit; communicate essential information to appropriate parties Collaborate with Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans and update these plans regularly as residents' conditions change Attend and participate in interdisciplinary resident care conferences as requested Cooperate with other resident services to ensure residents' total regimen of care is maintained Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the quality assurance program Requirements Minimum of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or graduate from an approved LPN/RN program Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of residents Supportive team member, contributing to and exemplifying teamwork and team concept Leadership and supervisory ability; willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel #J-18808-Ljbffr
