Celebration in the Oaks Ticket Scanner

This is a seasonal position for the event Celebration in the Oaks from November 27, 2026 to January 1, 2027, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The role involves scanning pre-purchased tickets on customer phones and paper copies upon entry and assisting customers in purchasing event tickets online if needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities include familiarizing oneself with CITO operations and daily events, greeting each customer in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, reporting to the assigned position each night of the event dressed weather appropriately, checking in and out the scanner nightly, handling the scanner safely and with care, scanning each admission ticket, assisting or instructing customers with purchasing online admission, and answering questions regarding event operations.

Qualifications and education requirements include a high school diploma or GED, being 18 years of age, customer service experience preferred, and working well in a team setting.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, talking or hearing, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Sustainability goals require City Park employees to decrease their environmental footprint by continually seeking ways to reduce waste and energy usage, care for natural Park habitat and wildlife, and to serve as models to patrons to do the same through education and example.

The work environment includes frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
