Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in the operating room. They are responsible for preparing operating rooms and ensuring the availability of surgical instruments and supplies. The role involves scrubbing in on cases across various specialties, including orthopedic, general, urology, GYN, and more. Candidates should have strong experience in orthopedic procedures and familiarity with vascular cases. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with surgical teams. This includes proper patient positioning, managing surgical supplies, and assisting surgeons during procedures. A commitment to patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques is essential. The Surgical Technologist should also be prepared for call duties and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays. Support staff will assist with room turnovers and patient care, ensuring efficient operations. Technological proficiency with EMR and various surgical equipment is necessary.
