Role Description This full-time, on-site Associate Veterinarian role is based at Lahontan Valley Veterinary Clinic in Fallon, NV. The Associate Veterinarian will perform routine and complex medical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, prescribe medications, and perform surgical procedures as appropriate. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and providing preventive care such as vaccinations and wellness counseling. The role also involves communicating clearly with clients about diagnoses, treatment options, and home care, while maintaining detailed medical records. The Associate Veterinarian will collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff, contribute to a positive clinic culture, and follow clinic protocols and regulatory standards. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution and eligibility for Nevada veterinary licensure. Clinical competence in small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry, including diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient monitoring. Strong communication and client education abilities, with skill in explaining medical information in an accessible, compassionate manner. Ability to work effectively within a team-based, fast-paced clinical environment and collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff. Commitment to compassionate animal care, ethical practice, and adherence to relevant veterinary regulations and clinic protocols. Comfort with using veterinary practice management software and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in veterinary medicine and surgery. Previous experience in general small animal practice or a similar clinical setting is preferred but not strictly required for highly motivated new graduates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
