Used Car Manager

Suntrup Ford Westport is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Used Car Sales Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about developing people, driving sales performance, and maintaining a high-quality used vehicle inventory. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve monthly sales and profitability goals. Manage the day-to-day operations of the used car department. Work closely with the General Manager to maximize inventory turn and gross profit. Oversee the used vehicle inventory process from acquisition through retail delivery. Ensure vehicles move efficiently through reconditioning, detailing, merchandising, and front-line readiness. Manage the detailing department and monitor vehicle appearance standards. Coordinate inventory photography, online merchandising, and vehicle descriptions to ensure listings are accurate, attractive, and timely. Monitor vehicle aging and develop strategies to maximize inventory performance. Follow up on leads and ensure proper CRM processes are being followed. Hold sales staff accountable for prospecting, follow-up, appointments, and customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional customer service. Preferred Qualifications Previous automotive sales management experience required. Strong leadership and team development skills. Experience managing used vehicle inventory and merchandising. Knowledge of inventory management, reconditioning, and dealership operations. Experience with DriveCentric CRM is highly preferred. Experience with the Ford Experience and Ford dealership operations is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
