Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Chef based in Jackson, MS. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, lead kitchen staff, develop innovative menus, and maintain high standards for food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring food safety compliance, controlling costs, collaborating with suppliers, and mentoring kitchen staff. The role emphasizes creativity, strong leadership, and a focus on maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Culinary expertise in menu development, food preparation, and plating techniques
- Experience in kitchen management, team leadership, and staff training
- Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and maintain supplier relationships
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen preferred
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus
