Job Description
Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Schedule: Night Shift - 3x12 (1900-0730)

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Evidence of continuing education relevant to nursing practice
- Preferred: Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
- Preferred: Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
- Initiate the computerized Plan of Care upon admission.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and convey empathy to patients experiencing pain or trauma.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, considering their cultural, physical, and psychosocial needs.
