General Description

The Bilingual Customer Service Representative is the first point of contact for Carlton Farms customers who place orders by phone and email. This position takes and enters orders accurately, answers product, pricing and delivery questions, and supports the outside sales team so customers receive the right product on time. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to serve and grow Carlton Farms' Spanish-speaking customer base. The role is a mix of order entry, follow-through on problems, and day-to-day relationship building with customers who call in regularly.

Job Duties

• Answer incoming customer calls and   emails in both English and Spanish in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
• Take customer orders and enter them accurately the same day they are received.
• Need to place orders in time to meet daily order deadlines.
• Help customers find solutions for the products they wish to order, in terms of both timely delivery and desired product.
• Answer product, pricing, availability   and delivery questions, and follow up on anything that cannot be answered on the first call.
• Adhere to pricing provided by the sales manager or general manager.

Requirements/ Skills

• Bilingual required. Fluent in both English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• 1 year of customer service, inside sales or order entry experience required. Food, agriculture or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order entry.
• Ability to stay organized and calm during high call volume and shifting priorities.
• Problem-solving mindset with the willingness to follow through until the customer has an answer.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Works well in a team environment and enjoys working with people.

Technology, Equipment, Certifications (i.e. 10-key, phone, chopper) 

• Strong computer skills required. Microsoft Office Suite experience required (Word, Excel).
• Google Suite experience preferred.
• Order entry or ERP system experience preferred.
• Multi-line phone and email proficiency.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard, monitor and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to speak clearly on the phone for extended periods throughout the day.
• Full-time, Monday through Friday, onsite in Carlton, Oregon.
