ABOX PACKAGING COMPANYJOB TITLE: Folder Gluer OperatorDEPARTMENT: Gluing & FinishingREPORTS TO: Plant ManagerFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)Currently hiring for 5 positionsPOSITION SUMMARY:The purpose of this position is operating gluing machines that are used for joining items for further processing to form a complete product to contribute towards the achievement of departmental and company goals and objectives. This requires strong machine operator experience.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:Examines and measures completed materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges, or calipersAdjusts machine components according to specifications such as widths, lengths, and thickness of materials and amounts of glue or adhesive requiredMonitors machine operations to detect malfunctions, report or resolve problemsReads work orders and communicates with coworkers to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, and supply and product specificationsFills machine with glue or adhesives materialsMounts or loads materials in feeding mechanisms or gluing machinesInputs production records such as quantities, materials processed, and actual production dataStarts machines, and turns valves or moves controls to feed, admit, apply, or transfer materials and adhesives, and to adjust temperature pressure and time settingsPerforms full line clearance for changeover of forms, copies to ensure product from previous form/copy/job is off the glue linePerforms all duties in accordance with the Company’s safety and quality standards, policies, and practicesConforms and completes weekly, monthly, and quarterly mandatory maintenance program and logs as requiredConsistently adheres to all Company standards, policies, and proceduresPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent GEDMinimum of Two (2) years production or manufacturing experience or a combination of experience and educationMinimum of two (2) years as an operator on gluing machinery. #J-18808-Ljbffr Paycom
