The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader will oversee small teams servicing commercial properties, ensuring exceptional upkeep and functionality across multiple sites. This role requires daily travel to various locations, focusing on plant care, irrigation management, and equipment operation while maintaining strict safety standards. Direct customer interaction is minimal, allowing emphasis on team supervision and site quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a crew of 1-5 members to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
- Inspect commercial property sites regularly to assess landscape conditions
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and effectively
- Manage plant care including pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Oversee irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among crew
- Travel daily between multiple commercial sites to coordinate maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance
- Valid Driver's License for daily site travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of plant identification and care techniques
- Experience operating landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and troubleshooting
- Understanding of pest and disease management practices
- Strong adherence to safety protocols
- Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills
