Over the Road Hazmat Driver

Regional CDL Class A Driver

Hight Electric is seeking experienced and safety-focused Regional CDL Class A Drivers to join our growing team. Drivers will operate company equipment to transport freight throughout Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kentucky, and various Midwest states. This position typically consists of 1-3 round trips per week, depending on freight demand and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and committed to providing safe and timely transportation services while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Transport and deliver freight safely and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and transportation records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations personnel.
• Ensure freight documentation is complete and accurate.
• Report equipment issues, accidents, incidents, or delays promptly.
• Attend required safety meetings, trainings, and company events.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at customer locations.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required.
• Minimum 2 years of OTR experience
• Flatbed experience is a plus
• Ability to meet DOT physical and drug testing requirements.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting while operating commercial vehicles.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, pull, and climb as needed.
• Ability to secure freight and perform vehicle inspections.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
