General Manager

General ManagerFireside Inn is actively seeking an experienced boutique hotel General Manager to join the team! Our General Managers understand the value of developing a team to work towards their full potential to deliver an amazing guest experience. Essential functions and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: exceeding guest expectations, demonstrating leadership, developing and building teams, improving service, coaching and developing others, modeling appropriate behaviors, supervising team members, making decisions and solving problems, communicating with supervisors, peers and subordinates, managing daily operations of the hotel, guiding, directing and motivating subordinates, administering recognition programs, organizing, planning and prioritizing work, resolving conflicts and negotiating with others, training and teaching others. Tasks performed daily include reviewing/verifying daily reports, responsible for bank deposits, petty cash, guest relations, public relations, facility inspection, sales calls, maintenance of accepted standards of operations, monitor performance to forecast. Tasks performed periodically include hire/train/coach/delegate/terminate team members, negotiate contracts for goods and services following company policy, negotiate groups along with room sales, order supplies and approve invoices for payment, monitor and collect receivables, attend community events (Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau, etc.). Tasks performed occasionally include oversee hotel refurbishment, travel to sales events and training seminars, survey competing facilities, complete marketing reports, monitor monthly financial statements, participate in hotel budgeting and planning. Salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually.Qualifications:Education: Bachelors or better in Hospitality and Resort Management.Experience: 5 years: Previous hotel management experience required.
