Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (W2 | Possibility of Extension!)
Pay Rate: $54.00–$56.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote

Role Overview:

BEPC, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr Project Analyst to support our client's employee benefits regulatory compliance and reporting activities in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will independently manage the end-to-end regulatory compliance reporting process for U.S. retirement, pension, VEBA, and Health & Welfare benefit plans.

This position requires hands-on experience coordinating regulatory filings, including IRS Form 5500, SEC Form 11-K, and ACA Forms 1094-B/C and 1095-B/C . The successful candidate will ensure timely submissions, maintain audit readiness, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regulatory compliance and minimize risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage regulatory compliance activities for U.S. defined benefit (DB), defined contribution (DC), VEBA, and Health & Welfare benefit plans.
• Oversee the preparation, coordination, and submission of IRS Form 5500 filings , including required schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support SEC Form 11-K filings and ensure alignment with applicable financial disclosures.
• Coordinate ACA reporting, including IRS Forms 1094-B, 1094-C, 1095-B, and 1095-C .
• Maintain Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs), and required benefit plan disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ERISA, IRS, DOL, SEC, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and state disability requirements.
• Maintain a regulatory compliance calendar to track deadlines, audits, and reporting deliverables.
• Partner with third-party administrators, auditors, legal counsel, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely filings.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including retirement plan financial statement audits.
• Track audit findings, support remediation efforts, and ensure compliance activities are completed before regulatory deadlines.
• Analyze and validate benefit plan data to ensure accuracy and consistency across regulatory submissions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend improvements to compliance processes, documentation, and reporting practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting and auditing experience .
• Demonstrated ability to independently coordinate and manage end-to-end regulatory compliance reporting.
• Hands-on experience managing or coordinating IRS Form 5500 filings .
• Experience supporting SEC Form 11-K filings and associated financial disclosures.
• Experience with ACA reporting , including IRS Forms 1094-B/C and 1095-B/C.
• Knowledge of ERISA, IRS, SEC, and DOL regulatory filing and disclosure requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with public-company financial statements.
• Background in retirement, pension, VEBA, or Health & Welfare benefit plan compliance.
• Experience supporting employee benefit plan audits and retirement plan financial statement audits.
• Knowledge of ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and related regulations.
• Experience coordinating with third-party administrators, external auditors, and legal teams.
• Familiarity with HRIS or benefits platforms such as Workday, SAP, or ADP .
• Experience improving compliance reporting processes and audit readiness.
