Axia Women's Health has been recognized as the #1 Physician Practice for Women's Health by Castle Connolly and certified as a Great Place to Work for five consecutive years.We are currently recruiting an experienced Sonographer to work Full-Time Four days per week at our busy Somerset OBGYNLocation: Bridgewater and Hillsborough, NJHours and schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday four days (varied) 7:30-4:00 pm; one later evening Monday or Wednesday 12-7:30 pm; 36 hours per week and full benefits; no weekends, holidays or call.Job Summary:Must be able to perform MFM level scans, including high-quality ultrasound examinations including comprehensive growth scans (detailed anatomy) and Nuchal Translucency scans in accordance with approved techniques and protocols, ensuring the transducer (probe) is correctly capturing images.Perform general OBGYN scansReviews any prior images and imaging reports prior to ultrasound exam.Reviews and verifies physician's orders.Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, explains procedures, measures and positions patients for each anatomical view.Evaluates images for quality and interprets images captured; calculates, compiles and records data from numerical readings and records in patient chart.Maintains patient records; adds medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.Presents images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.Maintains ultrasound equipment and sterilizes room between ultrasound patients.Utilizes PACs, EMR, and other systems related to imaging.Stocks and replenishes supplies as required.Maintains certifications by completing any assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.Performs other associated tasks as assigned.Qualifications:Formal education and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required.Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in Ob/Gyn required.At least 2 years' recent experience performing OB/GYN and Perinatal ultrasounds including NT and comprehensive growth scansAdditional ARDMS certification in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable; Previous experience with FE highly preferable.Additional ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB)CPR certification a plus.Previous experience using eClinicalWorks (EMR) beneficial.Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT coding a plus.Demonstrated ability to accurately recognize and document pathology identified in scans.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of ultrasound equipment.Strong interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail.Full Time Benefits Summary:Full time benefit-eligibility beginning the first of the month after hire401(k) with company matchGenerous PTO offering with additional time off for volunteeringChoice of multiple medical insurance plans to best meet your needsAccess to Axia providers at little to no cost through Axia's medical insuranceAxia-paid life insurance, short term and long term disabilityFree counseling for colleagues and family members, including parents and parents-in-lawAccess to discount on Hotels, Theme Parks, Gym Memberships, and more through the Great Works Perks ProgramAdditional insurance options including dental, vision, supplemental life insurance, FSA, HSA w/ employer contribution, identity theft, long term care, pet insurance and more!Pay or shift range: $33 USD to $44 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position.
