Landscaping Project Engineer/Estimator

Woodlake Outdoor is seeking a highly motivated Landscaping Project Engineer/Estimator to join our team. This role will be responsible for reviewing plans, preparing bids and/or estimates for commercial landscape construction projects, as well as performing procurement activities.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, calculate and compile take off data to estimate project costs and create detailed bid proposals.
• Conduct material take-offs, read blueprints and scale drawings to accurately estimate quantities and costs.
• Prepare estimates for ancillary projects as needed.
• Utilize computer software to create, track, and update bids and to present information to management
• Maintain current and accurate information on pricing from vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
• Work with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors for best pricing and quality material
• Review and process purchase orders

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience managing and/or estimating commercial landscape construction projects
• Experience conducting material take-offs, reading blueprints and scaling drawings and taking hand measurements
• Experience working in systems such as Blue Beam, Aspire or similar systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

This job operates primarily in an indoor office environment– must be able to operate a computer and office equipment and may sit for extended periods of time. This position will occasionally travel to work sites to gather measurements for bid proposals, or to vendor sites for materials.
