About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Circulator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in an acute care hospital and circulating position License: New York license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse Circulator will be responsible for providing care to patients in the operating room. Candidates are required to float as needed. Rotating on-call and weekend coverage every 5-6 weekends is expected. Experience in general OR procedures is necessary. Familiarity with the following skills is preferred: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Thyroidectomy, and various gynecological and orthopedic surgeries. Knowledge of infection control, fire safety, and specimen handling is essential. The daily census consists of approximately 15 cases per day. Candidates will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
