Bindery OperatorJoin our production team operating bindery equipment with training, advancement, and steady hours!What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Bindery Operator Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 17.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)Set up, operate, and make adjustments to bindery equipment including cutters, drills, stitchers, cello wrapping machines, and other finishing equipment as assigned.Package finished products by selecting correct cartons, printing and applying labels, packing materials in proper sequence, and preparing pallets for shipment.Perform machine changeovers, including changing blades, drill bits, wire rolls, cello rolls, and adjusting guides and settings to meet job specifications.Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, alignment, numbering sequence, and compliance with customer requirements.Complete routine equipment maintenance, identify operational issues, and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures, proper lifting techniques, and production standards.Bindery Operator Qualifications:2 openings: 1 on day shift and 1 will train on day shift and move to swing shift 3pm-1130pm M-F in January 2027.High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous manufacturing, bindery, printing, warehouse, or production experience preferred; machine operating experience is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow work orders, job specifications, and production instructions accurately.Basic math and numerical skills requiredMechanical aptitude and ability to learn, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment.Ability to lift up to 50+lbs comfortably, stand for the entire shift.Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
