RN - Endo

Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal

This position requires a commitment of Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 8 PM. On-call duties will be required for overnight and weekend coverage, with options for either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.

Job duties include:

• Responding to patient inquiries and addressing their concerns.
• Monitoring patient vital signs.
• Administering sedation to patients prior to procedures.
• Providing post-procedure recovery care for patients.
• Administration of necessary medications to patients.
• Completing all required documentation, including patient notes and discharge summaries.
• Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use.
• Assisting physicians throughout procedures.
• Administering IV drips as needed.

Requirements include:

• New York state RN license required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association only).
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with endoscopy procedures.
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification is essential.
• Knowledge and experience with conscious sedation.
• Proficient in IV insertion techniques.
• Experience in recovering patients from general anesthesia is required.
• Ability to perform intake assessments for gastrointestinal procedures.
