Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments

Monitor fetal heart rates and contractions (NSTs & continuous monitoring)

Assist with labor management and delivery procedures

Provide care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases

Support newborn care immediately after delivery

Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, and newborn care

Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams

Respond to obstetric emergencies with clinical expertise

Maintain accurate documentation using EMR (Epic)

Requirements

Active RN license (State or Compact)

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (REQUIRED)

Experience with fetal monitoring and OB triage

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Certifications: BLS (Preferred) ACLS (Preferred) NRP (Preferred)
