Surveillance Officer

Job Summary Casino Surveillance Officer monitors casino operations using cameras and surveillance systems to ensure a safe, fair, and lawful environment. They identify suspicious activity, preventing fraud or theft, and ensuring compliance with gaming regulations. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Operate a closed‑circuit television (CCTV) system to monitor casino activities and prepare reports and logs. Operate software to save and preserve video coverage. Present evaluations of any observed illegal activity to the proper departments and make necessary recommendations. Make recommendations and enforce state and federal regulations. Communicate with security and other departments using phones and radios. Follow policies to ensure safety and asset protection. Possess knowledge of all slot/game procedures and Title 31. Maintain all logs and ensure accuracy of log entries. Maintain confidentiality of all hotel/casino information. Report all incidents observed on shift to the leadership. Comply with company regulations, policies, and procedures. Act as a role model to other employees and always present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same. Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned. What You Will Need High school diploma, GED, or comparable experience preferred. Prior experience in a security, casino or surveillance‑related field is preferred. Must be able to sit or stand for long hours observing numerous CCTV screens. Must be able to work and maneuver in close quarters. Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations. Must be able to see and also remember the specific details of incidents and persons. Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports. Must be able to operate the following equipment: monitors, switches, computers, controllers, and cameras. Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to maintain extremely confidential information. Observe gaming tables and slot machines to ensure fair play and accurate payout. Review video footage to resolve disputes or investigate incidents. Coordinate with casino security staff and management when issues arise. Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal policies, and procedures. Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co‑workers, guests and vendors. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack. Must be 19 years of age or older. Proficient in English verbal and written. Proficient with iOS devices. Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Additional Requirements Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively. Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment. Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration, crowds and air quality. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
