Certified Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day 4x10-Hour Shift (07:00 - 17:00)

The Certified Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment in a critical access hospital setting. The candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing and be certified in this field.

• Reprocessing endoscopes and ensuring all sterilization protocols are met.
• Maintaining decontamination and sterile processing standards.
• Utilizing automated endoscope reprocessors (AER) and high-level disinfection (HLD) techniques.
• Documenting sterilization techniques and outcomes in the electronic medical record system (Epic).
• Assisting in inventory management and organization of surgical instruments.

• Certification in Sterile Processing (CBSPD, IAHCSMM, or HSPAS).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Proficient in using Epic charting system.
• BLS certification is required.
