Infection Preventionist IP Nurse LPN

Job Summary:

At Elizabeth Park Rehabilitation and Nursing, a premier provider of residential, long-term, rehabilitation, and subacute care, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infection Preventionist IP Nurse LPN to join our team. As a key member of our infection prevention and control program, you will be responsible for identifying and preventing infections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices

• Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection rates, identifying trends and areas for improvement

• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection prevention strategies

• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices

• Conduct infection control assessments and audits to ensure compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement

• Develop and maintain records and reports related to infection prevention and control activities

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce healthcare-associated infections and improve patient outcomes

Requirements:

• Current LPN license in the state of New Jersey

• Experience in infection prevention and control or a related field

• Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
