ROLE SUMMARY:
The Porter is responsible for performing all regular cleaning activities at the rental building. This includes removing debris, maintaining common areas, restocking bathrooms, and more. This position impacts our residents by ensuring all common areas in the building are in excellent condition. This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent of our newest building The Portrait in Hartford, CT.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Daily cleaning of all common areas; dust, sweep, wet mop, vacuum, and empty garbage
- Report all notable concerns such as vandalism, missing light bulbs or fixtures, and missing smoke detectors or extinguishers in the common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor
- Keep the property and parking lots in a neat and orderly manner
- Perform building walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs
- Keep accurate and organized supplies and supply lists
- Accurately record and report their own time
- Respond to cleaning requests at the direction of the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager when the Maintenance Superintendent is not available
- Accurately communicate work requested and work executed to the Maintenance Superintendent
- Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance roles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Candidate will be required to work at least one weekend day
